Heroes Cross ® is about YOU, the real heroes of this world. Since starting Heroes Cross we have met many, many heroes and their families. We have been moved and impressed so often by the goodness of such folks that we have redoubled our efforts to help our heroes and their families where we can. As part of this commitment, we want any of you who would so honor our efforts by obtaining one of these crosses, to have one regardless of your ability to pay.

 

 

Those of us who would wear a cross, are very likely to be people of faith and are therefore mindful of the Lord's admonition that we must each take up our cross and follow him. Many believe that God sends us our own personal cross to bear, but that he also always sends us his grace to bear it well.  We were inspired to create Heroes Cross ® in order to support and honor our heroes through the great symbolism, power and deep meaning of the cross. To support our heroes, we have contributed to dozens of charitable groups (click here).  To honor our heroes, we designed the crosses that you see here on this website. 

 

Our crosses proclaim our sincere belief that the work and sacrifice of our heroes is an authentic witness to the sacrifice of the Lord's own cross. "No greater love does one have, than to lay down one's life for a friend" are words that we believe embodies every hero. Some heroes demonstrate this love in dramatic acts of self-less courage, even to the laying down of their own life. Others do so in a million small acts of selflessness as they persevere in their duty and service. 

 

Our crosses are reminders to keep our Heroes in our prayers. None show us the best in our humanity better than these amazingly wonderful people. Our crosses are meant to be “prayers in metal” asking the Lord to keep our heroes and their families under his abundant Providence.  

 

 Our crosses also honor those who suffer the profound loss of a loved one's ultimate heroic sacrifice as well as those who have been afflicted in either mind or body by their own heroic actions or those of a loved one. Yours is truly a cross that you have been given to carry each day. Our crosses express the hope that the Lord will strengthen and sustain you.

We have met several parents, spouses and families who have lost loved ones in service to our country. It is hard to truly appreciate your sense of loss. We honor you for your sacrifice and ask God to grant you peace. 

 

Blue Star Parents, Spouses and children, Heroes Cross is about you.

We have met many families with loved ones in the military. We deeply respect your courage and steadfastness and thank you for your service. We pray that God will give you strength and keep you soldier, guardsman, sailor, airman, or Marine safe from harm.

 

Members of the active military and veterans, Heroes Crossis about you.

We have met many active and former members of the military. You stepped forward when duty to your country called. Many of you carry in your hearts and minds experiences that few others can comprehend. We thank you for your service and pray that God will keep you safe.

 

Families of fallen police officers and firefighters, Heroes Cross is about you.

We have met many families of fallen police officers and firefighters who died in service to our communities. Few will know or feel your sense of loss. We honor you for your sacrifice and ask God to give you peace. 

 

Active and retired police officers, firefighters and EMTs, Heroes Cross is about you.

We have met many active and former police officers, firefighters, troopers and EMTs. Your sense of duty and service puts you in the forefront of guarding our communities and responding to those in need. You freely run into the danger the rest of us run from. Thus many of you have experiences that few others will grasp. We thank you for your service and ask God to keep you safe.

 

Members of FDNY and NYPD, firefighters, police officers and any other responders at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon or in Shanksville, or those who were in the Towers or the Pentagon on September 11th, Heroes Cross is about you.

We have talked to members of FDNY, NYPD and other responders who were at the Twin Towers. We have also met firefighters and other responders who were at the Pentagon. Many of you exerted superhuman efforts and performed incredible acts of courage that day. Many lost dear colleagues. Few on the outside will ever truly comprehend what you, who were there at any of the attacked sites saw, smelled, heard, tasted, or experienced on September 11^th. We pray that God will heal your anguish and grant you his solace.

 

Families of those who perished on September 11^th, including the passengers and crew of United flights 175 & 93 and American flights 77 and 11, Heroes Cross is about you.

We have met flight attendants who knew the crews that were lost as well as several people who lost loved ones in the events of September 11th. The memory of your loved one lost that day will forever remain in your heart. We ask that God will console you and grant you his peace.

 

Teachers, those who care for the sick,  and our Moms and Dads, Heroes Cross is about you.

You are the unsung heroes who, through a million little acts of selflessness and dedication you care for the well being of others. Teachers shape our future and healthcare workers keep us well and mend us when we are broken. Mom and Dad, to you we owe everything. We have met many such people who go about their task each day unaware that you too are heroes. We honor you  and pary to God to bless you. 

 

Those who live with disease such as any of the many forms of cancer, cardiac disease, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, mental health disorders, Lupus, HIV/AIDS, asthma, epilepsy etc. either personally or with a loved one or have lost a loved one due to illness, Heroes Cross is about you.

We know many people who endure such hardships day in and day out, yet with dignity an grace. We ask that God will strengthen you and grant you his healing. 

 

These crosses are about you: our heroes and the families of our heroes. We may have been the instruments to bring them into being, but the reason for Heroes Cross ® is you. We are a little company that has been funded by a mortgage and the personal savings of its founders. We are not wealthy people and we take no compensation for our work. We also believe that we have set prices for our crosses that are appropriate to finance the materials, marketing and the administration of our company, as well as to continue our commitment to donate to heroes's charities.

 

Our Offer to You

 

 That said, many heroes and their families may find affording a cross difficult especially in this economy. We'd therefore like to offer the following: if you are genuinely among the groups of heroes and their families that we've mentioned above, we would like you set the amount you can afford for the cross - up to half of the website price. To do this, we will provide a "code" that you must enter at check out. In other words, make your purchase using the website's shopping cart feature as you normally would, and just before it asks you for your credit card information, the system will give you a place to enter a code.

 

If you can afford the full price shown here on our website, we would be very grateful since this will give us the best chance to continue our work. 

 

However, if you would be helped by taking 10% off the price, then enter the word TEN in the code box. If you can only afford the cross if it were 20% less, then enter the word TWENTY. Even if you can only afford the cross if it were 30% less, then enter THIRTY. Please use only full 10% increments (TEN, TWENTY or THIRTY) to set your price. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR PURCHASE TO NO MORE TAHN TWO ITEMS on our website. If you truly cannot afford a cross, please email us at customerservice@heroescross.comand tell us about your situation. We will do everything we can to send you a cross at no charge.

 

We trust and pray that all who take advantage of this truly need to do so, and are genuinely a member of the heroes groups mentioned above. We will keep this program running for as long as we can. We do ask for a few favors in return:

 

• First, we'd be grateful if you told others about Heroes Cross ®.Word of mouth endorsements from you to your family and friends would be great. If you participate in any blogs, websites or social networks (MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) where you could post about us that would be fantastic as well. If you know of any retailers that might be interested in carrying our crosses, or if you belong to any church, religious, academic, civil, social or heroes-related groups that could use our crosses us as a fund raiser, please tell them about us.

 

• Second, please add a tribute to your hero on HonorMyHero.com.  Since we started Heroes Cross, people would send us stories about their heroes. These were stories that needed to be told and so we began to post them on the internet for all, especially our young people, to read and be inspired. We launched HonorMyHero this year as its own project apart from Heroes Cross. We'd ask that you take a moment and read the tributes posted. Then, in the section of the website provided, email the story of your hero to www.HonorMyHero.com(click here). Please note that these tributes are "blogs" where others who know your hero can add their own comments as well. All comments are pre-screened and sent to you for approval before posting. Here again we'd ask that you spread the word about the HonorMyHero project. Our goals is to have thousands of stories there to ensure the word HERO does not lose its true meaning.

 

 

• Finally, we ask that you support the charities that help our heroes.When we decided to use our crosses to raise funds for Heroes groups, we set out to contribute groups that were well run and focused either on providing services to our heroes and their families, or dedicated to raising the public's awareness about our heroes and their needs.
